About

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”-Maya Angelou.

Butterflies are magical creatures. They are truly the definition of transformation.

Have you ever been inspired by something so simple yet powerful, and it just struck you in a way you could not explain? Maybe a beautiful weeping willow tree, wildflowers on the side of the road, butterflies fluttering, a vibrant painting, a savory dish, or an exquisite spring salad with strawberries? Perhaps it was the sound of the ocean waves, the symphony of crickets on a country summer day,  listening to the strings on a cello being played, or the enchantment of fireflies that made you believe in the Divine? There is magic everywhere.

I have always been amazed by the concept of metamorphosis and the ability to change form. For instance, caterpillars morph into eloquent butterflies, and the waxing and waning moon phases from new to crescent,  full, and back to new.

Butterflies flutter from flower to flower, gracing everything they touch with beauty while sipping the sweetness of life.

We see ourselves inside the things that inspire us and share them with others. We are all butterflies emerging in our own unique way. We can be juxtaposed: Refined yet coarse, the moon or the sun; fire and water; dark moth or light butterfly; the luminous and the obscure.  We find our way through the darkness and embrace the beauty of the journey.

Welcome to my journey,  an intimate and delightful glimpse into the life of a social butterfly in reverence of art, culture, cuisine,  magical moon phases, pretty little flowers, and butterfly emergence!
